Every other week, we’ll be featuring a Coaching Conversation with a guest who needs a little help getting unstuck, clarifying their goals, and launching their life, business, organization, relationships, or whatever they’re focused on. Click here for more info.
This is a unique opportunity for you to listen in on our coaching process, and because each person’s situation is different, every conversation will be quite interesting. I want you to know these are unscripted, and I’m not charging the guest nor selling them coaching services. Our producer, the amazing Kristin Manna, has had a preliminary conversation with the guest, but I’m hearing their story and situation from them for the first time. Our hope is to be able to do a short follow up with each guest in a month or two after they appear on the show so we can see how they’re doing.
Today, I want to introduce you to Elijah Stacy, a 17 year old who has been diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He is in the International Baccalaureate program at his high school, and he earned a 4.6 GPA last year. He is also on the Mock Trial team and has a deep interest in Law. Elijah started a non-profit organization, called Destroy Duchenne, to end suffering by curing deadly diseases such as Duchenne.
In This Episode, You Will Learn:
- What Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is and how it has impacted Elijah.
- Creative ways that Elijah is seeking to connect with LeBron James, Selena Gomez, and others in order to draw attention to Duchenne.
- Specific things that Elijah can do to reach out to celebrities as well as connect with his core target audience (Moms).
